Customized Photo Frames Online

Unsure of what to do with that one empty wall that doesn’t support your TV or has the sofa leaning against it? Transform it into a gallery wall. A gallery wall or a salon wall is a wall full of artwork grouped together. There are endless variations in which a gallery wall can be built. Arrange the artworks symmetrically if you are a fan of perfection, or scatter them across the wall if you love chaos. Here are a few key steps you need to remember while building the galley wall:

Step 1: Create a cohesive colour palette

In accordance with the colour theme of your home, pick the frame colours and the art pieces or family photos you want to hang. Make sure not to choose a colour that clashes against the decor. Example: You may not want to go for a bright orange or yellow, if your decor theme is white and woods.

Step 2: Start with a large centrepiece as the anchor to the wall

Before starting the selection process measure your wall and the amount of space you want to fill in with the photo frames. Once you have gotten the measurements you can decide how many pieces you want to fit and what their ideal size would be.  Start with your centrepiece, the largest among the lot.

Step 3: Keep the second largest piece away from the centrepiece

After finalising and hanging your second piece make sure you add the second largest piece away from the first one so there remains cohesiveness and it doesn’t look too crowded.

Step 4: Mix horizontal and vertical frames

You can play with a variety of shapes to make your gallery wall more interesting

Step 5: Mix up frames and colours

You need not stick with one colour, try as many as you want to as long as they follow a cohesive colour pattern. Add a range of different frames as well, play with textures, mix embossed, plain and more.

Step 6: Add something personal

You want to add a personalised touch, frame a family photo or your child’s drawing, important certificates or artwork made by you to the collection.

Step 7: Add Miscellaneous objects to the collection

Add 3D objects, embroidered pieces or other fun things to mix up things a little to your collection.

Tip: Layout your gallery wall before you hang the frames or dig the holes

Here you go, your gallery wall is ready.
